Error messages for the Just Comfort & Kodiak / Classik Display
Error code Unit Description Dealer Action
10 Battery Low battery voltage Charge the battery with the original battery charger.
If the problem persists, replace the battery.
The battery in question needs to be replaced.
11 Battery Battery overvoltage Restart the e-bike system. Make sure to turn the system off completely.
If the problem persists, replace the battery.
The battery in question needs to be replaced.
12 Battery The battery is almost/completely discharged Charge the battery with the original battery charger.
20 Drive unit Electrical measurement error Restart the e-bike system. Be sure to turn the system off completely. If the problem persists, replace the motor.
21 Battery Error in the temperature sensor Restart the e-bike system. Be sure to turn the system off completely. If the problem persists, replace the motor.
23 Battery Error in the temperature sensor Restart the e-bike system. Be sure to turn the system off completely. If the problem persists, replace the motor.
24   Drive unit Undervoltage An undervoltage has been detected in the Drive Unit. This could be caused by a short circuit or other damage to connected equipment (display, lighting, etc.).
Check all devices powered by the Drive Unit. Check for damaged wires or contacts.  
Swap the devices and wiring.
After replacing the device, restart the engine system. Be sure to turn the system off completely. 
If the problem persists, replace the Drive Unit. 
25 Drive unit Error in motor current measurement Restart the e-bike system. Make sure to turn the system off completely. If the problem persists, replace the Drive Unit.
26 Drive unit Hard system shutdowns Repeated hard shutdowns were detected. These shutdowns are not caused by pressing the power buttons on the battery or display, but by suddenly disconnecting the drive from the battery. 

-->First check if the firmware is 7.4.1 or higher. , if it is lower and the problem persists, follow the remaining steps!

For example, the problem could be caused by pulling the battery cable when the system is armed, damaged battery cables, damaged battery cable contacts, or other problems with the battery.

First, restart the system. Make sure you turn off the e-bike system using the correct buttons on the display or battery. Caution: Do not pull the power cord while the system is on. 
Check the battery cables and power contacts on the battery and Drive Unit sides. 
Incorrectly secured contacts or damaged cables can cause wobbly contacts during travel and lead to hard disconnections.
If the problem persists, replace each part individually:
1. Power cord
2. Battery
3. Drive unit
Important:
- Make sure you switch off the E-bike system by pressing the correct buttons on the display or battery before every change.
- It is recommended to make a test drive after each replacement.
30 Drive unit Error in walking assistance Restart the e-bike system. Make sure to turn the system off completely. If the problem persists, replace the Drive Unit.
31 Drive unit Failure of the lighting voltage or short circuit An undervoltage has been detected in the lamps. This could be caused by a short circuit or other damage to the connected lamps.
Check all lights powered by the drive unit. Check for damaged wires or contacts.  
Swap the bulbs and wiring.
After replacing the bulbs, restart the engine system. Be sure to turn the system off completely.
40 Drive unit  Peak current Restart the e-bike system. Make sure to turn the system off completely. If the problem persists, replace the Drive Unit.
41 Drive unit  Peak current Restart the e-bike system. Make sure to turn the system off completely. If the problem persists, replace the Drive Unit.
42 Drive unit Electric motor malfunction Restart the e-bike system. Make sure to turn the system off completely. If the problem persists, replace the Drive Unit.
43 Drive unit Short circuit of the motor Restart the e-bike system. Make sure to turn the system off completely. If the problem persists, replace the Drive Unit.
44 Drive unit   Overtemperature Let the drive unit cool down. Reduce the load on the motor by pedaling less or by lowering or turning off the support level. Restart the e-bike system. If the problem persists, replace the Drive Unit.
45 Drive unit  Sensor error Restart the e-bike system. Make sure to turn the system off completely. If the problem persists, replace the Drive Unit.
46 Drive unit  engine blocked Restart the e-bike system. Make sure to turn the system off completely. If the problem persists, replace the Drive Unit.
60 Display  communication error A communication error has been detected in the display. 
Check the display and wiring and/or replace the display and wiring.
After replacing the display, restart the bike system. Make sure to turn the system off completely. 
If the problem persists, replace the drive unit.
70 Drive unit Torque sensor error Restart the e-bike system. Make sure to turn the system off completely. If the problem persists, replace the Drive Unit.
71 Drive unit Cadence sensor error Restart the e-bike system. Make sure to turn the system off completely. If the problem persists, replace the Drive Unit.
72 Drive unit Torque sensor error Restart the e-bike system. Make sure to turn the system off completely. If the problem persists, replace the Drive Unit.
73 Drive unit Torque sensor error Restart the e-bike system. Make sure to turn the system off completely. If the problem persists, replace the Drive Unit.
80 Drive unit Incorrect engine parameter Restart the e-bike system. Make sure to turn the system off completely. If the problem persists, replace the Drive Unit.
81 Drive unit  No speed signal recognized Make sure the spoke magnet is in the correct position relative to the speed sensor.

If the problem persists, check the speed sensor wiring and contacts.
Restart the system.
82 Drive unit  Software error Restart the e-bike system. Make sure to turn the system off completely. If the problem persists, replace the Drive Unit.
83 Drive unit  Error in program flow Restart the e-bike system. Make sure to turn the system off completely. If the problem persists, replace the Drive Unit.
84 Drive unit Incorrect engine parameter Restart the e-bike system. Make sure to turn the system off completely. If the problem persists, replace the Drive Unit.
