Description
Gear sensor / Switch sensor for the YMESG aluminum drive, which was formerly branded Brose.
length = 430mm
First check whether the bicycle is already equipped with a gear sensor; if not, this function may not be activated in the software. This may result in the Gear sensor not functioning optimally or not at all.
Why is a Gear sensor mounted on the bicycle?
- Resolves problems with mechanical shifting associated with a mid-engine (it works in the same way as a clutch in a car. When the user starts shifting, the engine power is interrupted or reduced for a period of time, which is necessary for smooth shifting) .
- Ensures perfect shifting in any situation (for all standard rear/front derailleurs and internal gear hubs).
- Extends the life of the entire switching system.
- Removes loud noises and reduces the chance of chain breakage during shifting.
- Shifts easily like on a normal bicycle.
You connect the Gearsensor to connector number 6 on the YMESG engine
