A matter of type. 

The YMESG mid-motor product family, formerly under the Brose brand, offers specially designed drivetrains for the diverse demands of e-bike riders. Consequently, the YMESG drivetrains have very different characters—something also reflected in the names: the Drive C stands for city, the efficient Drive T scores points with qualities specifically for trekking bikers, and the 'F' in the Drive TF stands for 'fast'. The Drive S means 'sport' and is the sporty high-performance athlete of the Brose Drive product family.

A matter of type. 

The current product range consists of two drive models that complement each other perfectly - in the form of the proven aluminum platform, coupled with one variant each in a magnesium housing. The aluminum drivetrains can rotate 360 ​​degrees around the bottom bracket in any position and offer manufacturers complete flexibility when integrating into the bicycle frame. The drives in the innovative magnesium housing are 500 grams lighter and 15 percent smaller than the aluminum variants.

Drive-C: City Champions 

The Drive C mid-drive engines represent an urban lifestyle. Whether you are on your way to work or cruising through the city—thanks to their particularly harmonious driving characteristics, they provide serenity amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. These softly responsive drivetrains are the perfect companions in everyday life.

Drive-T: Long Distance Runners 

Thanks to their high efficiency, the Drive T mid-drive motors perform particularly well over long distances. Whether long trips or a short one after work – these all-rounders offer enough power for all the demands of daily life. 

Drive-S: Mountaineers 

The powerful Drive S models are exactly the right partners for sporty e-bike riders. An exceptionally responsive feel ensures top performance on demanding trails. The magnesium mid-drive motor with 410 percent maximum assistance puts the most power of the family to the pedals. Thanks to the exclusive 'Flex Power Mode' assistance level, the Brose Drive S Mag delivers an even more lively riding experience. 

Drive TF: Sprinters 

Developed for cyclists with a need for speed, the Drive TF supports cyclists up to a top speed of 45 kilometers per hour. Long-distance commuters, in particular, get their money's worth with this mid-drive motor. 

Drive-H: CARGO

The drive unit for heavy work. The drive H is perfect for the cargo bike, strong and powerful!

Drive Remanufactured  

YMESG is the first manufacturer of e-bike drives to offer a special recycling program for its drives, also known as factory refurbishment.

With which individual assemblies or parts of old drives can be made usable again. The remanufacturing program saves at least 21 kilograms of CO2 compared to using new parts - per drive unit. This is how Brose sets new standards for environmentally friendly mobility.

Background noises? tailwind

The YMESG mid-drive motors, formerly branded Brose, are extremely quiet and low-vibration. The internal carbon-reinforced belt reduces drive noise and prevents vibrations from being transmitted to the pedal. You would almost forget you are riding an e-bike. For a pure riding experience – without distracting noises. 

Perfect freewheel 

The mid-drive motors are designed so that they can be completely disengaged. This means that when the motor is switched off or the battery is empty, the e-bike can be ridden like a normal bicycle without extra pedaling resistance. 

Clever design 

The flexible integration options and compact form of the YMESG drive enable bicycle manufacturers to develop attractive designs and aesthetically integrate the drive into the frame. This is one of the reasons why e-bikes with Brose Drives win prestigious design awards, such as the iF Design Award or the German Design Award. 

As much power as you need. 

By using highly sensitive sensors, the drive force can be precisely metered. Pedaling harder means more support from the system. YMESG is known for this particularly sensitive control system. Whether on challenging terrain, cruising through the city, or touring in the countryside—for every application, the drivetrains deliver the optimal extra power and endurance.

The Drive S Mag comes with 'Flex Power Mode', a riding mode in which cyclists can switch to a combination of torque- and cadence-controlled assistance, giving them up to 30 percent more power at higher cadence values. Another advantage is the even faster response thanks to optimized sensor technology. This allows even the smallest changes in pedaling to be detected and translated into the requested power. This immediate power guarantees a more controlled start on steep inclines and an even more lively e-mountain bike riding experience.
