Technical Support Employee E-bike Systems (French/Dutch)

Technical Support | French-speaking Dealer Support | Yamaha Motor eBike Systems | Amersfoort

Location: Amersfoort | Hours: 12-32 hours per week | Start date: by mutual agreement

Do you enjoy helping people with technical issues and do you speak fluent French?

Are you technically minded, do you speak fluent French and Dutch, and do you get energy from solving technical problems? Then we have a unique position for you.

At E-Mobility Service, you support bicycle mechanics and dealers in Belgium with technical issues surrounding modern e-bike systems. You combine technical skills, customer contact, and problem-solving within a small specialist team where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and personal development are central.

Thanks to your language skills, you are the link between our technical specialists and French-speaking dealers in Belgium. You help customers when they get stuck, analyze technical problems, and help find solutions that allow them to get back on track quickly.

This role combines technical support, technical helpdesk, remote support, and dealer support within the fast-growing e-bike industry.

Experience in the bicycle industry is a plus, but certainly not a requirement. We explicitly invite technical talent from, for example, the automotive, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or technical customer service sectors to apply.

About the feature

As a Technical Support Employee, you are the first point of contact for dealers and bike mechanics who need technical support with e-bike drive systems from Yamaha Motor eBike Systems (YMESG), including the former Brose systems.

From our office in Amersfoort, you primarily support French-speaking dealers in Belgium. You assist them by phone, email, and via remote support tools with analyzing malfunctions, performing diagnostics, and finding solutions.

You work in a compact team of technical specialists where everyone supports each other and shares knowledge. The emphasis of your role is on technical support and building expertise. As your experience grows, you will have the opportunity to work partially from home and further develop towards specialized tasks such as warranty assessments, repairs, and technical training.

Because we are a small and committed team, you will be given a lot of responsibility and room to contribute ideas for improvements. Your ideas are valued and can directly contribute to better service for our dealers.

What are you going to do?

  • You provide technical support to bicycle mechanics and dealers via telephone, email, and digital support tools.
  • You analyze electrical, mechanical, and software malfunctions within e-bike drive systems.
  • You perform remote diagnoses and guide dealers step-by-step to a solution.
  • You register service requests and monitor the follow-up until they are fully resolved.
  • You identify recurring technical problems and contribute to improvements within our service processes.
  • You assist in the development and maintenance of technical documentation, work instructions, and knowledge articles.
  • You attend product and service training and stay up to date with new systems, updates, and developments.
  • You liaise with colleagues, suppliers, and technical specialists on complex issues.
  • During peak periods, you occasionally support colleagues with logistical or administrative tasks.
  • Depending on your interests and development, you can progress to warranty checks, repairs, and providing technical training.

Who are we looking for?

  • You speak and write fluent French and Dutch.
  • Knowledge of English is a plus.
  • You have an affinity for technology and enjoy analyzing and solving technical problems.
  • Experience in the two-wheeler industry is welcome, but not required.
  • You work accurately and independently and think in solutions.
  • You possess strong communication skills and remain calm under pressure.
  • You are customer-oriented and enjoy helping dealers.
  • You feel at home in a digital work environment and quickly learn new systems and applications.
  • You have at least an MBO working and thinking level.
  • You preferably live in the Amersfoort region.

What do we offer?

  • A varied technical position within a growing and innovative industry.
  • An extensive onboarding program in which you are trained to become a specialist in Yamaha Motor eBike Systems and modern e-bike drive technology.
  • Ongoing technical product and service training.
  • A contract of between 12 and 32 hours per week, depending on your preferences.
  • Flexible working hours upon consultation.
  • The opportunity to work partially from home after your onboarding period.
  • A competitive salary commensurate with your knowledge and experience.
  • A pension scheme and travel allowance.
  • Opportunities for advancement towards specialized technical positions.
  • Plenty of room for personal development and training.
  • An informal, professional work environment with short lines of communication and committed colleagues.

Does this sound like a position that suits you? Even if you do not meet all the job requirements, we encourage you to contact us.
