Restart the bike system after disconnecting or replacing the lights. Make sure to turn the system off completely. If the problem persists, replace the Drive Unit.

21	Drive unit	under-voltage	Check the wiring and electrical loads. A low voltage has been detected in the drive unit. This could be caused by a short circuit or other damage to the connected equipment (display, lighting, etc.). Check all devices powered by the drive unit. Check for damaged wires or contacts. Swap the devices and wiring. (See the "Plugs and Cables" documents.) After replacing the display, restart the engine. Be sure to power down the system completely. If the problem persists, replace the Drive Unit.

29	Drive unit	hard shutdowns	Repeated hard shutdowns were detected. These shutdowns are not caused by pressing the power buttons on the battery or display, but by suddenly disconnecting the drive from the battery. -> First check that the firmware is 7.4.1 or higher. Versions above this one have a too-sensitive setting and can generate this error at any time. - First, update the firmware to 7.4.1. If it's lower, and the problem persists, follow the remaining steps. For example, the problem could be caused by pulling the battery cable when the system is armed, damaged battery cables, damaged battery cable contacts, or other problems with the battery. First, restart the system. Make sure you turn off the e-bike system using the correct buttons on the display or battery. Caution: Do not pull the power cord while the system is on. Check the battery cables and power contacts on the battery and Drive Unit sides. Incorrectly secured contacts or damaged cables can cause wobbly contacts during travel and lead to hard disconnections. If the problem persists, replace each part individually: 1. Power cord 2. Battery 3. Drive unit Important: - Make sure you switch off the E-bike system by pressing the correct buttons on the display or battery before every change. - It is recommended to make a test drive after each replacement.

42	Drive unit	No external speed signal recognized	Check the alignment and operation of the external speed sensor. Check the operation, positioning, wiring, and contacts of the external speed sensor. Restart the system. Note: The external speed sensor is not the standard e-bike speed sensor. It's an optional extra.
43	Drive unit	External speed signal unlikely	Check the alignment and operation of the external speed sensor. The external speed sensor is transmitting invalid signals. Check the operation and alignment of the sensor. Check if the external speed sensor has been tampered. Restart the system.
44	Drive unit	Manipulation discovered	Tampering detected. Check the external speed sensor(s) for tampering. Reboot the system.
45	Drive unit	Gear ratio outside the value range	The gear ratio of the e-bike is outside the range of the manufacturer-approved values. This can be caused by swapping parts of the mechanical Drive Unit (chainring and cassette) or by tampering with the speed sensor. Check the gear ratio of the installed drive components (chainring and cassette) according to the manufacturer's specifications. Check the speed sensor for tampering.
47	Drive unit	Gear ratio outside the value range	The Drive Unit detects that the spoke magnet is attached to the crank, causing the rear wheel and crank to move apart at a 1:1 ratio. The Drive Unit disables assistance after 500 pedal revolutions. - Check that the spoke sensor and magnet are mounted correctly and restart the system.
48	Drive unit	Belt drive	If a belt is damaged, the drive will immediately shut down to prevent consequential damage to the mechanics. Replace the belt using a belt replacement kit and restart the bike to deactivate the error.
NOBATTERY	Battery	No battery connection	Check the battery wiring and contacts. If the problem persists, replace the battery.
NEED DISPLAY	Display	No display connection	Check the display's wiring and contacts. If the problem persists, replace the display.
TDA	Battery	temperature discharge error	The battery temperature is too high. Bring the battery to an operating temperature between 0-40°C (32°F - 104°F).
